Anna Jaques Hospital Hosts World Breastfeeding Week Picnic

12th Annual Picnic to Be Celebrated at Newburyport’s Waterfront

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. --- Anna Jaques Hospital will celebrate World Breastfeeding Week from August 1-7, 2013 with the annual Anna Jaques Birth Center Breastfeeding Picnic. The picnic will take place on Saturday, August 10, from 11:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. at Cashman Park in Newburyport.

This year marks the 12th annual picnic, which brings together families throughout the community. There will be games for families to enjoy as well as a celebratory cake for all. Attending families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch for themselves. Dessert and water will be provided.

World Breastfeeding Week, which is organized by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action organization, is celebrated in more than 170 countries to encourage breast feeding and improve the health of babies all over the world.
